Product of the Month - Treflan
Treflan provides pre-emergent weed and grass control in flower beds, around trees, shrubs and certain vegetables. Treflan should be applied as early as possible in the growing season, March is the optimum time. You can apply it any time of the year around established plants and may be applied 10 weeks before planting direct seeded vegetables. The rate of product application varies with soil types, but most soil needs about 1 lb. per 1000 sq. feet. Rain does not wash away Treflan. Treflan must be used as a preventative measure before weeds germinate. Although Treflan cannot kill weeds that are already visible, there are many other products that effectively kill those weeds. Treflan produces great results if applied correctly. Be sure to read the lables of any and all products you apply.
